 Pieta Brown is a contemporary folk singer songwriter. She is notable for being critically acclaimed. Her album, Remember the Sun, was named as one of the best albums of 2007 in the Wall Street Journal. Brown was born in Iowa City. She grew up in Iowa and Alabama, and was greatly influenced by her father, the folk artist Greg Brown.
