WILLIAMSBURG, Va. . -- Jiyai Shin followed her tournament-record 9-under 62 with a 68 on Friday to take a one-stroke lead in the LPGA Tours Kingsmill Championship. The South Korean player had four birdies and a bogey -- her first of the week -- to finish two rounds at 12 under on Kingsmills River Course. She won the last of her eight LPGA Tour titles in November 2010. Shin kept a close eye on the scoreboard. "I have to know my position, and I keep changing my plan each hole after I check the positions," Shin said. "I saw a lot of players play good today, so I think it will make for fun competition the next two days." "I really like when Im on the top, but it also can come with a pressure, a little bit of pressure. But its also other players saying they get the pressure, too, so I just keep focused on my game." American Danielle Kang was second after a 64, the best score in the second round. The 19-year-old Kang won the U.S. Womens Amateur in 2010 and 2011. Kang, who missed the cut in her last two tournaments, started the round on 10th hole, and had six birdies for a 6-under 29. Her lone bogey came on the par-5 third, but she bounced back with birdies on the fifth and seventh holes. "I started off the day thinking just take it shot by shot. Ive been approaching shots differently this whole week," Kang said. "I just am trying to see what works, and my brother taught me how to putt." She had 26 putts the second round after taking 32 in the first. She says her brother wants 5 per cent of what she wins this week. Kang says shell go to 20 per cent "if he can get me to shoot under par and go low." Paula Creamer and Dewi Claire Schreefel were 10 under. Schreefel, the first Dutch player to qualify for the LPGA Tour and a former NCAA individual champion at Southern California, shot her second straight 66, and Creamer had a 67. Schreefel was one of 33 players who returned to the course Friday morning to complete the first round after play was suspended Thursday. She had two holes to play, and her day got off on the wrong foot when she was penalized two strokes for a rules infraction on the green of her first hole -- the par-4 eighth. Schreefels ball moved after she marked it, but instead of playing it from the new spot, she incorrectly moved it back to the mark -- which was still in place. "Things like that just kind of fuel me up," Schreefel said. "You know, its a little bit upsetting in the moment and youre losing two shots while youre in the hunt to make a really good score. Its unfortunate but we live and learn." Lexi Thompson (66) and Azahara Munoz (68) were 9 under, and second-ranked Stacy Lewis had a 65 to join Maria Hjorth (69) at 8 under. Cristie Kerr, the winner in 2009 when the tour last played at Kingsmill, missed the cut with rounds of 72 and 74 -- managing only three birdies in the two days. She also once in 2005 at Kingsmill. Michelle Wie also dropped out, shooting 75-71. She has missed nine cuts this season and has only one top-10 finish. Leta Lindley played her final round on the tour Friday. The 40-year-old Lindley, retiring to become a full-time mom, shot 73-71. "Ive had a mix of emotions, obviously very bittersweet, but knowing that its the right time for me," Lindley said. "Obviously, I was very tearful coming up 18. Ive been out here for 18 years and Ive grown up out here and this has been my family for so long and its been a big chunk of my life. I know that its time, but it doesnt make it any less sad." [url=http://www.ravensofficialteamstore.com/autographed-bernard-pierce-jersey-fd... Pierce Jersey . Coach Laurent Blanc picked an experimental and attacking lineup, featuring several fringe players. The move soon backfired as Iceland went 2-0 up at halftime thanks to goals from Birkir Bjarnason and Ajax striker Kolbeinn Sigthorsson. . -- Mike Neal plans on proving his critics wrong this season. That said, the sanctions adopted by the OHL that include suspensions and fines for the serial scrapper are clearly targeting the one-dimensional player. The B.C. quarterback threw four touchdown passes as the Lions thumped the Montreal Alouettes 43-10 in CFL action Saturday.BETHESDA, Md. -- The PGA Tour announced another important sponsorship Wednesday, agreeing to a 10-year deal with Web.com as the sponsor of its developmental tour. The Web.com Tour replaces what had been known as the Nationwide Tour, and the change was effective immediately. The agreement comes four months after the tour renewed its deal for the FedEx Cup, a $35 million bonus series. Last fall, the tour negotiated a nine-year television deal with NBC Sports and CBS Sports, meaning its TV contracts are set through 2021. Web.com takes over a tour that is to become the primary path for players to reach the PGA Tour. Starting in September 2013, the top 75 players from the Web.com Tour and the top 75 PGA Tour players who failed to qualify for the FedEx Cup playoffs will meet in a three-tournament series that effectively replaces Q-school. Fifty cards would be awarded after those three events. Web.com, based in Jacksonville, Fla., is a provider of internet services and online marketing solutions to small- and medium-sized businesses. The company was founded in 1997. Since going public in 2005, chairman and chief executive David Brown said it has grown from 50,000 customers to 3 million customers, and its revenues have increased from $30 million to $500 million. "Its OK that you dont know the Web.com name. Thats by design," Brown said. "Weve been a very quiet company up to this point. But we believe that mass adoption of the internet by small businesses is happening now, so now we think its the time to strike." Terms of the deal were not disclosed, though the return on name recognition alone is proven. Nationwide took over as the umbrella sponsor in 2003, and it has turned into a noun in the golf world -- the name of PGA Tours minor leagues. This is the fifth name of the tours developmental circuit. It began in 1990 as the Hogan Tour, which gave to the Nike Tour. It became the Buy.com Tour in 2000 until Nationwide took over. Brown said his company was looking for a branding campaign and considered various options, including a chance to become the title sponsor of the PGA Tour event in the Tampa, Fla., area at Innisbrook. That would have given him exposure for one week. [url=http://www.ravensofficialteamstore.com/autographed-ray-lewis-jersey-oz-47.h... Lewis Autographed Jersey. . He believes a Web.com Tour provides exposure around the country all year. "They are a company that has no conflicts among title sponsors on this tour," PGA Tour Commissioner Tim Finchem said. "Theyre a company thats well-positioned. Theyre in a growth mode. Because they deal with literally millions of small businesses around the United States, they are a company thats interested in every single market in this country." Brown said the deal would include an advertising campaign that will start next month. He said the increased importance of the developmental tour as the only road to the PGA Tour was not a fundamental part in deciding to be the sponsor. The next step for the tour is to figure how to distribute PGA Tour cards through the Web.com Tour. The tours policy board already has approved a change in the schedule. Starting in 2013, the new season will begin after the FedEx Cup playoffs in September. The wraparound season will end at the Tour Championship in 2014. Three models for blending the 150 players from the Web.com Tour and PGA Tour are under consideration, though two are considered the leading options. In one model, the top 15 players from the Web.com Tour would start the three-tournament series with whatever money they earned that year. It would be enough money to guarantee their cards. Everyone else would start from scratch, meaning 35 cards would be up for grabs. In the second model, the top 25 players from the Web.com Tour would be guaranteed their cards. They would join the others in the three-tournament series, with everyone starting from scratch, so only 25 cards would be at stake. The only thing the top 25 players from the Web.com Tour could lose, even if they missed every cut, would be their priority ranking for getting into tournaments. That means the debate is whether to award 15 or 25 cards based on players season performance on the Web.com Tour. Tour officials are going back to the player advisory councils on the PGA Tour and Web.com Tour, with hopes of arriving at a conclusion before the British Open next month. ' ' '
