REGINA -- Football fans in Saskatchewan have received the news they were waiting for -- a deal has been struck to build a new stadium. . Saskatchewan Premier Brad Wall announced the news to fans at the citys current football facility, Mosaic Stadium, prior to Saturdays CFL game between the Saskatchewan Roughriders and the BC Lions. The new 33,000-seat stadium will be built on Ervaz Place lands in Regina and is expected to be ready in early 2017. Wall called the Roughriders "Canadas Team" and he said it deserves a world-class stadium. The news was greeted by hoots and cheers from the stands. The province says the facility wont have a roof for the field, but that it will be built so one can be added later. Mosaic Stadium, with its bench-style seating, is structurally sound but it is also one of the oldest buildings in the Canadian Football League. It was originally built as a rugby field in 1910 and has been renovated numerous times over the years. Under the memorandum of understanding announced Saturday, the $278 million required for the stadium will be funded through an $80 million grant from the province, along with $73 million from the City of Regina, a news release from the Saskatchewan government said. The Roughriders will raise $25 million. The news release also says the province will provide a 100-million loan to the city, to be repaid with interest over 30 years. It says the loan would be primarily repaid through a $12 facility fee on games and major events held in the new stadium. Work on the design for the new facility is still taking place. Construction is scheduled to begin in 2013. [url=http://www.lionsofficialteamstore.com/autographed-tony-scheffler-jersey-ap-... Scheffler Jersey . Could the rest of the NBA be next? Hudson, rescued from the NBA Development League by an injury-riddled Cleveland team last month, scored 25 points -- including 14 in the fourth quarter -- and the Cavaliers beat the Charlotte Bobcats 103-90 on Tuesday night. . The Spain midfielder fell to the ground clutching his right foot following a tackle by Keith Andrews in the second half of Thursdays 4-0 victory over Ireland at the Arena Gdansk. Louis Blues have been a young team on the rise for several years now, but finally took a step forward in 2011-2012, reaching the second round of the playoffs after finishing with the second-highest point total in franchise history. . Fernandez-Castano first won this event in Milan in 2007. His biggest previous victory came at last years Singapore Open. The Spaniard hit a solid shot out of the rough following an errant tee shot and birdied the final hole of the Royal Park I Roveri course outside Turin, finishing at 24 under with a 64.WASHINGTON -- Fans chanted "R-G-3!" when Nene was at the free throw line in the fourth quarter, sort of the new equivalent of "M-V-P!" in a city obsessed with Washington Redskins rookie Robert Griffin III. If it helps the Washington Wizards win, theyll take it -- because it doesnt happen very often. Jordan Crawford scored 27 points, Nene added season highs of 23 points and 11 rebounds, and the worst-in-the-NBA Wizards showed they can still come out on top every once in a while, breaking an eight-game skid Friday night with a 105-97 victory over the Orlando Magic. Washington overcame another horrible start -- trailing 25-8 in the first quarter -- and won by its largest margin of the season. The game represented one-quarter of the win total for the 4-23 Wizards, who have been stymied in part by the knee injury that has kept franchise player John Wall on the sidelines. "Obviously, a lot of satisfaction in the win, but the way we won it -- with what this teams gone through at the start of the year, to go down 25-8, ... for our guys to not put their heads down and grind it out," Wizards coach Randy Wittman said. "We kept saying every timeout: Long game. Long game. Next timeout lets make it closer. And they did." Wittman was so excited he could hardly wait to get on the plane for Saturdays road game against the Chicago Bulls, who havent played since Wednesday. "Theyre going to be rusty. Thats good for us," Wittman said. "Weve got to win. Were feeling good. We played well. Lets play again. I dont worry about Chicago." Crawfords point total tied the high for any Washington player this season, but he was more ho-hum than his coach. He spoke about the game as if it were a routine trip to the gym, repeating the phrase "making shots" several times when asked how the victory came about. "I mean, were supposed to win," Crawford said. "Weve got good players." Still, it was the first Wizards home win since Dec. 4, when Griffin sat in the front row and cheered on an upset of the Miami Heat while serenaded with the nnow-familiar "R-G-3!" No, he wasnt at Fridays game, but the chant was. [url=http://www.lionsofficialteamstore.com/autographed-jason-hanson-jersey-uw-39... Hanson Jersey. "I guess well have R-G-3 whenever we win," Wizards guard Bradley Beal said. Arron Afflalo scored 26 points and J.J. Redick added 23 for the Magic, who have lost four straight since Glen Davis sprained his left shoulder in the final minute of a win over these same Wizards last week. The Magic ended an NBA-best 12-game streak of holding opponents under 100 points, while Washington hit the century mark for the first time in 12 games. "Every team in the NBA is capable of scoring," Redick said, "if you dont play D." Early on, the sound of "Three points -- Jameer Nelson" came from the public address announcer as if on a continuous loop. Nelson made a trio of 3-pointers in less than a minute, and the Magic built a 17-point lead less than 7 minutes into the game. "Fools gold," Orlando coach Jacque Vaughn said. "We relaxed a little bit." Crawford and Garrett Temple, who was signed earlier this week, came off the bench to dominate the second quarter. The Wizards led 54-51 at halftime and never trailed again. "Garrett (doesnt) know half of what were doing," Wittman said. "Im throwing him out there to the wolves, and I couldnt be more proud of him." NOTES: Orlando G ETwaun Moore sprained his left elbow in the first quarter and did not return. ... Nelson went 1 for 9 over the final three quarters and finished with 16 points. ... Magic F Hedo Turkoglu, out since breaking his left hand in the season opener, made the trip and took part in the morning shootaround but did not suit up for the game. ... The Magic were called for a rare six-men-on-the-court technical in the third quarter. "Its Christmastime, and my wife spent a lot of money," Vaughn said. "Im going to refrain from what I really want to say about that six-person foul. ... There should be 10 men on the floor, and I sent two guys to the table to check in and one they did not let in. Ill keep it that way." ' ' '
