SANTA CLARA, Calif. -- Steven Lenhart scored twice in the final 11 minutes to help the MLS-leading San Jose Earthquakes to a 2-2 draw against English Premier League side Swansea City in an international friendly Tuesday night. The Swans, who had goals from Danny Graham and Chico in the 41st and 60th minutes, went 1-1-1 on their preseason U.S. tour. Lenhart, a second-half substitute, cashed home a beautiful square pass from Shea Salinas to bring San Jose back within a goal in the 79th. Then he headed home a curling cross from Rafael Baca deep on the right wing to tie it in the 85th. Graham, the Swans leading scorer last season with 12 goals in EPL play, took advantage of a botched back pass to give Swansea the lead just before halftime. Graham scooped up a loose ball after an attempted back pass from San Jose defender Ramiro Corrales failed to connect with goalkeeper David Bingham. Graham rounded Bingham and easily slotted the ball home. Chico, a Spanish centre back signed by Swansea City earlier this month from Genoa, powered home a header in the 60th minute despite Binghams efforts at the back post. Leroy Lita had a couple of late chances for Swansea, but couldnt put either ball on goal. The Earthquakes, who rested almost all of their starters after playing Chicago in an MLS match Saturday, looked disjointed before bringing on several of their top players in the last 30 minutes. Mehdi Ballouchy, acquired Monday in a trade with the New York Red Bulls, made his San Jose debut on the Earthquakes left wing. Clyde Drexler Rockets Jersey . So close to making a sensational play in the sixth. So close to preserving Kevin Millwoods no-hit bid. Still, this was an electric performance for the 37-year-old journeyman pitcher. Wilin Rosario hit a two-run homer and Colorado took advantage of four Dodgers errors to romp past Los Angeles 13-3 Friday night for its season-high fifth straight win. http://www.shoptherocket... . Blue-and-orange Oklahoma City Thunder flags flutter vehicles around the city and the state, a tribute to a team that four years ago was among the leagues worst. An Oklahoma City skyscraper has a "Lets Go Thunder" banner strung across it, and a local shop has a giant fake beard at its entrance to mimic Thunder guard James Hardens hirsute style. Swiss sports network RTS Sports reported Thursday that team president Gaudenz Domenigs said Nash and forward Joe Thornton would likely play for HC Davos this fall if the NHL and NHL Players Association cant finalize a collective bargaining agreement. Dwight Howard Jersey . The 18-year-old who reached the junior boys final of all four grand slam tournaments this year, winning at Wimbledon and the U.S. Open, got the confirmation Tuesday when the International Tennis Federation announced its champions for 2012.With Wednesdays 21-point loss to the Grizzlies, the Toronto Raptors have now dropped six straight games to sit a woeful 3-13 on the season. If not for the Wizards (who finally won their first game of the season on Wednesday), the Raptors would be sitting at the bottom of the entire NBA. As the losses continue to mount for Toronto, so does the frustration, especially at the Raptors regression defensively. This was a team that was supposed to be moving in the right direction. Last season, under the tutelage of Dwane Casey, the Raptors shaved their points allowed by more than 11 per game and finished as a top-10 defensive unit overall. And that was with basically the same cast of characters that had struggled so badly to stop opponents under previous head coach Jay Triano. This team was supposed to be even better with the additions of Kyle Lowry, Jonas Valanciunas and active wingman Landry Fields. That hasnt bbeen the case, though.dddddddddddd The Raptors are allowing opponents an average of 101.5 points per contest, which is tied for 27th in the NBA and up more than seven points from a year ago. Theyre also near the bottom in opponent free throws allowed (27th), opponent assists (26th), opponent field goal percentage (t-26th), rebound differential (22nd) and a number of other statistical categories. Basically, theyre getting beat everywhere. The question is why? Is it injuries? Is Valanciunas simply not developed enough to be a premier interior defender yet? Is coach Casey not getting his rotations right? Is it effort? Is it simply a lack of good defenders? Or does the old all of the above answer apply here? Whatever the reason, if the Raptors cant figure out their issues at the defensive end of the floor it could be another long year in Toronto. So, what is wrong with the Raptors defensively? Its Your!
