GREEN BAY, Wis. -- Green Bay Packers wide receivers Jordy Nelson and Randall Cobb should be ready for Saturday nights NFC divisional playoff game against San Francisco despite missing practice Wednesday. Nelson is nursing an "ongoing" ankle injury, but coach Mike McCarthy says he hopes the receiver will practice Thursday. Cobb was sent home with the flu, the latest Packer to get sick. "Its just that time of year here," McCarthy said. "But our doctors feel confident everybody will be ready for the game." The Packers got some good news with the return of running back James Starks, who missed the last five games with a knee injury. "When you have a lead, you just have to get after it, throw strikes and keep your team at the right tempo," Williamson said. "For the most part, I did do that. I had a hiccup in the third inning when I walked two guys in a row, but my teammates just told me to slow it down and make good pitches." Williamson had a season-high 11 strikeouts by a Goldeyes pitcher and was five away from tying the franchise record for strikeouts in a game.
