Canadian Interuniversity Sport and Marg McGregor announced Friday that the long-time chief executive officer of CIS will be leaving her position on June 1, 2012. In 12 years at the helm, McGregor strengthened relationships and connections between CIS and the national sport community, and led the organization through a period of significant reform. "It has been a privilege to serve student-athletes, and I have thoroughly enjoyed being with CIS for twelve of its 50-year history," said McGregor. "I want to thank the very dedicated and hard working staff members, and would also like to acknowledge the tireless support of the CIS Board of Directors over the years." "On behalf of the Board of Directors and our member institutions, I thank Marg for the leadership she has provided to CIS. We are very grateful for her significant contributions to our organization during an important period of its evolution," said Leo MacPherson, president of CIS.
