Repair Process


They say knowledge is power. We say it’s peace of mind. So here are the basics of the repair process to give you a better idea of what goes on at MARATHON. Combining our experts and equipment, we ensure that every cosmetically damaged vehicle serviced leaves our facility like it was brand new.


Phase 1 ? The Estimate. Before any work can be done a MARATHON pro will examine and assess the damage. After the inspection, a complete estimate will be written. If your insurance company is handling the repair, we will contact them to provide the estimate. We can arrange a rental car so you are not without transportation. In addition, we will order any parts needed to make the repair during this phase.


Phase 2 ? Prepping the Vehicle. Your vehicle will be disassembled and the original layers of paint will be removed. At MARATHON, attention to detail is primary, insuring all collision work is done right, the first time.


Phase 3 ? Body Work. This is where the structural body repairs will repaired. Dents taken out, new panels prepared and installed, priming, sealing and corrosion protection adhered. The repair area will be cleaned, sanded and ready for paint. MARATHON’s bodymen are some of the best in the business.


Phase 4 ? Paint. First we’ll pressure wash and chemically clean the area and then prepped, primed, sanded and sealed. Then your vehicle will undergo the MARATHON refinishing process. BEIJING, Dec. 9 (Xinhua) -- Chinese President Xi Jinping will attend the upcoming Second World Internet Conference (WIC) in the river town of Wuzhen in east China's Zhejiang Province, an official announced on Wednesday.
