The MLS club announced the signing on Thursday, saying the 27-year-old will be available to play once his transfer papers are in hand. A native of Leeds, England, Sam played last season with Notts County of the English League One after being loaned there by Leeds. He scored five goals in 10 games, highlighted by a hat trick against Yeovil Town. He had two goals for Leeds the previous season in 35 matches.
