The Quebec Remparts used their special teams on Sunday to defeat the Acadie-Bathurst Titan 5-1 in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action. Having the leagues top-ranked penalty kill, the Remparts (28-6-3) killed off the Titans number one power play five times, scoring once while short handed. Quebec also used its third-ranked power play to produce two goals. Alexandre Comtois and Adam Erne each scored with the man advantage while Frederick Roy scored a short-handed goal late in the third period. Michael McNamee had a goal and an assist as Martin Lefebvre added a single to round out the Remparts scoring. Christophe Losier scored the lone goal for Acadie-Bathurst (18-18-4) as leading scorer Zach OBrien had his nine-game point streak snapped. Louis Domingue made 22 saves for the win while Jacob Brennan stopped 24 shots in the loss. Quebec heads into the holiday break as the top team in the QMJHL, two points ahead of the Saint John Sea Dogs. Elsewhere in the QMJHL, it was: Cape Breton 4, Halifax 1; Saint John 5, Moncton 2; and Chicoutimi 5, Drummondville 4. At Quebec City, Lefebvre scored at 10:40 of the first period to give the Remparts a 1-0 lead but Losier scored at 14:44 to tie the game at one after 20 minutes of play. Quebec took a 3-1 lead in the second period after McNamee scored at 15:11 and Erne at 17:00, on the power play.
