Cleveland, OH (Sports Network) - Cleveland Cavaliers guard Daniel Gibson underwent season-ending surgery to repair a torn tendon in his left foot/ankle on Monday. The procedure was performed at the Southern California Orthopedic Institute in suburban Los Angeles by Dr. Richard Ferkel. Gibson originally hurt the ankle during a March 19 game against the New Jersey Nets, and x-rays taken at the time were negative. However, the affected area did not respond well to treatment given during the remainder of the clubs road trip, which took Cleveland to Atlanta and Orlando.
