Tang Paradise is a large theme park near the city of Xi'an, which is the starting point of Silk Road travel in Shaanxi province, People's Republic of China. The park is at or near the site of an earlier garden complex in the Tang Dynasty, but consists almost entirely of modern construction. The park features numerous buildings, squares, and gardens, all incorporating features of traditional Chinese architecture, such as eaves and cornices. Some features are named after historical sites or buildings.
An imperial garden-Yi Chun Garden- was set up in Qin Dynasty (1638-1912) in Qujiang area. In Sui Dynasty (581-618), it was called Fu Rong Yuan (Lotus Garden) because of the blooming lotus in Qujiang Pool for Xian day trips. The government of Tang Dynasty ordered to expand it in a larger size and more contents, making it the hot attraction for royal families, monks and common people. During that period, Fu Rong Yuan reached its peak as the only public garden. What visitors can see now was rebuilt on the originally site of Fu Rong Yuan and opened to the public in 2005.
Immerse yourself in the splendor of the Tang dynasty in this cultural theme park which vividly recreates the sights, sounds and smells of this great era of Chinese civilization. During the day there are plenty of cultural performances, gardens, pavilions, palace buildings and markets to explore. In the evening don't miss the "water film" - a spectacular multimedia show projected on a screen of water with fireworks, fountains and lasers. If you like, our China Travel Agency will specially tailor-make it for you.
