Communities Continue to Grieve Loss Spenc... Lanning Youth Jersey of Two Residents

SPOTSWOOD, NJ Family, friends, and residents of both Spotswood and Milltown are continuing to grieve the loss of two youngsters ages 18 and 17 who tragically were killed in an accident on Dutch Road near Fresh Ponds Road on Saturday evening. Nicole Surace, 18, a resident of Milltown, and Jeff Szatkowski, 17, of Spotswood were killed when Szatkowski 2004 Ford Mustang ran off of the road and slammed into a utility pole, flipped onto it roof, and hit a tree. Both teens died at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital from injuries sustained in the accident.

The road, which is narrow and tree lined, is notorious for being one of the more treacherous roads in the area, and excessive speed is always a concern for drivers in the area. It is also known as a main connecting road between Milltown and Spotswood. The accident remains under investigation.

The deaths have hit the Spotswood High School community particularly hard. Szatkowski, a senior at the school, was a starting member of both the Spotswood football team and its baseball team. The two had been dating for well over a year, according to their status on Facebook.

At the scene of the accident, makeshift crosses and flowers were set up, along with stuffed animals and other tributes.

Spotswood Schools Superintendent Scott Rocco issued the following statement:

"The Spotswood Public School community is saddened by the news of a car accident that claimed the lives of Jeff Szathowski, a senior, and Nicole Surace, a graduate. Our condolences go out to the families. Counseling services and resources are available Paul Kruger Orange Jersey throughout the day for our students and staff at Spotswood High School."

All students and friends are welcomed to seek the counseling services being offered at the High School. Funeral arrangements were not yet complete.

Winter Storm Watch Now In Effect For Thursday Afternoon

EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ Mother nature would like to wish everybody in the Northeast a very Happy New Year. The National Weather Service in Mount Holly has now issued a Winter Storm Watch for the entire area stretching from now until 10am on Friday January 3. EAST BRUNSWICK, NJ The East Brunswick High School Bears dominated their game against the South Brunswick High School Vikings in the championship game of the Brunswick Classic Tournament at East Brunswick High School on Monday December 30, riding contributions from many team members to a 70 45 rout of the Vikings.

NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ After opening the Brunswick Classic Holiday Tournament with a 38 33 girls basketball victory over North Brunswick on Friday, the Bears of East Brunswick High School turned right around on Saturday morning and squared off against a stout South Brunswick Vikings High School team in the championship game.

The quick turnaround may have proved to be too much, as the Vikings ran out to a quick 12 3 lead after one quarter. .
