OTTAWA -- Mika Zibanejads stint on the top line of the Ottawa Senators was brief. cheap jerseys from china . The rookie forward caused a minor stir Tuesday when he skated with Jason Spezza and Milan Michalek at practice. But the Senators, who open their first-round series against the Rangers in New York on Thursday, assigned the 18-year-old Swede to Binghamton of the American Hockey League on Wednesday. Zibanejad was taken sixth overall at Junes draft and made the Senators out of training camp. He recorded one assist and two penalty minutes in nine games before being loaned to Djurgarden of the Swedish Elite League. In 26 regular season games with Djurgarden, Zibanejad recorded five goals, eight assists and four penalty minutes. The Binghamton Senators, poised to miss the AHL playoffs after winning the Calder Cup last season, take on Wilkes-Barre/Scranton on Friday and Norfolk on Saturday to finish their season. Zibanejad could return to the NHL club after the AHL regular season ends, but suiting up for a game with Ottawa would burn a year of his three-year entry-level contract. cheap jerseys from china . Hockey Alberta announced it would do away with bodychecking for 11- and 12-year-old players following a fractious debate that saw the resignation of Hockey Calgarys president after he suggested the practice be banned. "Our players safety is the foundation in making this decision," Rob Virgil, Hockey Albertas board chairman, said in a statement Wednesday. C.J. Spiller Jersey . Johnsons second goal of the game and fourth this season came just one minute after Dallas completed a comeback from a 2-0 deficit when Michel drilled a corner kick from the right side into the upper left roof of the Seattle net to tie it.TORONTO -- Perhaps Rich Harden will have a chance to pitch at Rogers Centre the next time the Oakland Athletics visit in August. The only pitching the Canadian managed in this trip to Toronto was in the bullpen as he continues his rehabilitation from a strained right shoulder. The right-hander from Victoria, whose shoulder has bothered him since Feb. 15 and put him on the disabled list to open the season, made another step to returning Thursday when he pitched a session in the bullpen, with nobody swinging. "So far Im feeling great," Harden said. "I guess the next step is on Monday Im going to be throwing to live hitters before the game. After then hopefully Ill get in a rehab game or two and be ready to go." The Athletics beat the Blue Jays 2-1 on Thursday afternoon to avoid a Toronto sweep. Harden returned to the As as a free agent after pitching for the Texas Rangers in 2010, going went 5-5 record with 5.58 ERA in 20 games -- 18 starts -- as he struggled through tendinitis in his shoulder and a gluteal muscle strain that put him on the disabled list. He opened the 2010 season as the Rangers No. 1 starter. He first signed with the As in 2001 after they drafted him in the 17th round in 2000. He reached the majors in 2003 showing overpowering stuff. He was traded to the Chicago Cubs in July of 2008 and signed with Texas as a free agent after the 2009 season. Along the way he has been hampered by injuries. He went 11-7 with a 3.99 ERA in 31 starts in 2004 season and since has made at least 20 starts in only two of six seasons. Asked how he deals with the injuries, he said, "As best yyou can. wholesale jerseys. Its tough some days. But you just keep pushing through it, working hard and trying to put together a good season this year." His current injury is the same as one he had to open the 2008 season and that encourages him because he rebounded from it to go 10-2 with a 2.07 ERA in 25 starts between Oakland and Chicago. "I came back from Japan for the season-opener there and did the exact same thing and I think I made 25 starts after that the rest of the season," he said. "So I look at it that way, look at the positives, obviously its not what I wanted but whatever comes up, you have to deal with it." One of the reasons he returned to the As was to be reunited with pitching coach Ron Romanick who was a minor-league pitching coach when Harden first joined the organization. "He really worked with me a lot when I signed out of college," Harden said. "He really helped me get to where Im at right now in the big leagues." The result he hopes is that he will correct some faults that he feels have cropped up in his pitching mechanics. "I think I picked up some bad habits the past year or so mechanically which didnt allow me to be consistent," he said. "I find command-wise Ive kind of been all over the place the last year and stuff-wise, too. I havent been hiding the ball and its kind of what I want to get back to." He wants to regain the consistency he had in 2008. "I had command and consistency and I really felt like I was pitching, where I used to be more of a thrower," he said. Thursday he took one step closer. ' ' '
