PITTSBURGH -- The Pittsburgh Pirates have recalled infielders Ronny Cedeno and Steve Pearce from triple-A Indianapolis while optioning catcher Chris Leroux back to the minors. Cedeno is batting .252 with two home runs and 23 RBIs this season. He hasnt played with Pittsburgh since being diagnosed with concussion-like symptoms on July 1. Pearce is hitting .291 in 28 games. He went on the 15-day disabled list in May after tearing a muscle in his right calf. Both players were expected to be available Friday night when the Pirates host the St. Louis Cardinals.
