There have been precious few Nike Air Max Thea among the British chain’s popular exclusives line, so this pair has all the makings of a sleeper hit. Its color palette is on point with the white, Wolf Grey, Game Royal and black mix, and you’re just not going to see very many people on the streets. The Nike Air Max 1 FB lives on. The model made quite a splash when it debuted last year thanks to various colorways like the “Yeezy” mint tinted one and the set of Leopard looks. Its return in 2014 is marked with a Premium suffix, which in this case translates to icy soles on the bottom and an interesting dimpled texture for the upper. We already told you that the Nike Air Max 1 was coming with some white/gum looks in the near future, but we didn’t give you the full range of those styles. Gathered here is the trio of “Suede Pack” retros from Nike Sportswear, each of which feature the Air Max 1 Essential wearing that classic combo on their southernmost regions.
Keep in mind that there’s a bit of a wait for them in order – pairs won’t start to hit NSW accounts until April, 2015. The uppers don suede for the most part and each feature a white Swoosh cutting across the middle. The Nike Air Max 1 C.20 is a model that tweaks the beloved Air Max Thea Women DNA a little bit, but it still keeps the 1987 Air bag intact on the bottom. What’s remixed on this model is the upper – there your standard set of suede and mesh is replaced by more lightweight materials that land the model closest to the Tape build from last year. The sneakers have been a little elusive over here in the states, but we’re sure the floodgates will open sooner or later. There’s a new Nike Air Max 1 for kids making its way to Nike Sportswear retailers.
Nike Sports has a list of Air Max classics on their resume that would make just about any store jealous, with the majority of that energy being focused on the AM95. When was the last time that we were treated to gum bottoms on a pair of Nike Air Max 1 Women? For what it’s worth, that look has been particularly tough to track down in 2014. That is, until this Essential pair came along. The sneaker features a rather Valentine’s Day looking combination of red and white up top, despite arriving way after the fact, along with the slightly off-white sail coloring for the midsole. This one uses a two-tone look for part of its sole, but instead of the midsole split like several of the recent adult releases and the Obsidian and Cool Grey GS drops we showed you a couple of weeks back, these new kiddie AM1s go orange and yellow on the outsole. It turns out to be a minor detail on an otherwise fairly outrageous combination of Gamma Blue, Total Orange with some unnamed color mixed in closely, and a chromed-out Swoosh.
