AFC Bournemouth will play in the Premier League next season after a thumping 3-0 win against Bolton guaranteed them one of the top two spots in the Championship.
Though they are only three points ahead of Middlesbrough with one match left, their +50 goal difference compared to Boro's +31 means that to all intents and purposes their progression to the top flight is certain.
Fans rushed onto the pitch even Y... Darvish as the referee put the whistle to his lips as scenes of jubliation took hold - with club chairman Jeff Mostyn among those
"It's just been an amazing journey," said 37-year-old manager Eddie Howe after the match.
"This club was heading nowhere, heading out of business," he added.
"The supporters put their hands in their pockets time and again to save the club. They really deserve this success."
Two fine goals in the last five minutes of the first half, first from Marc Pugh and then Matt Ritchie, sparked h... the celebrations. The victory was sealed with 12 minutes remaining when the club's top scorer Callum Wilson got the third.
That goal came shortly after Bolton had been reduced to ten men, Dorian Dervite seeing red for a professional foul in the box.
Yann Kermorgant sent the resulting penalty high over the bar, not that it mattered, with the home fans roaring 'We are going up!' long before the final whistle.

Now, they are set to collect £120 million for going up - an extraordinary tale for a club whose home ground, Goldsands, holds just 12,000 fans.
"This club was on its knees six years, we had nothing, A group of supporters put their money in their pockets to keep the club alive and they are reaping the rewards," Howe told BBC Radio 5 live.
"It is the club I watched as kid, the club that gave me an opportunity in the game as a player and a manager. Y... Darvish Elite Jersey It shouldn't be them thanking me, It should be me thanking them. It is a family club and deserves its moment in the sun.
"It is never a journey we expected to go on but through some hard work and some investment we managed to do it. The players have been magnificent and an achievement they deserved."
Their remarkable rise will see them confirmed as a Premier League club this weekend, alongside Watford. [url=http://www.officialmlbrangersshop.com/authentic-11-yu-darvish-jersey.html]h... All that is left to decide is which of the clubs claims the Championship trophy in addition to the true prize of promotion.
Watford have the edge, sitting on 88 points to Bournemouth's 87, though the latter have the better goal difference.
Both face clubs with nothing to play for, however: Bournemouth play away at Charlton on Saturday while Watford entertain Sheffield Wednesday, with both those sides certain to finish mid-table no matter what happens.
