Robber Shoots Man Walking Dog In Denbigh

A masked gunman robbed and shot a man who was walking his dog in a Denbigh apartment complex early Wednesday. James Orlando Morris, 20, of Norfolk was arrested later in the day. Norfolk police had detained him on other charges, according to Janet Cox, Newport News police spokeswoman. In the process of their investigation, they found the Newport News man's identification in his pocket, she said. "Our detectives have been working with Norfolk police all day," Cox said. The 24 year old victim was in stable condition after undergoing surgery at Riverside Regional Medical Center.
