athletes off to Skate Canada event
Fourteen up and coming Nova Scotia skaters will participate in the Skate Canada Challenge Championships at the Sportsplexe Pierrefonds in Montreal's west island from Dec. 3 7.
The skaters, aged 11 to 17, will be competing in the pre novice to senior categories, with the potential to earn a spot at the 2015 Canadian Tire National Skating Championships in Kingston, Ont. from Jan. 19 25.
Pre novice women competitors are: Alyssa Cross (Bedford Skating Club); Meghan Hamilton (Sackville Leath... Bloody Mary 120mm Skating Club); Amy Hartling (St. Margaret's Bay Skating Club) and Jillian Matlock (Mariposa East Skating Centre)
Competing in pre novice men is Alexandre Robert (Greenwood Skating Club).
The Whi... Leather Beverly 100mm novice women Bl... Suede Big Dorcet 120mm are: Hana Marmura (Mariposa East Skating Centre), Rachelle Siteman (Halifax Skating Club), Stacey Wallace (Mariposa East Skating Centre) and Nikita White Black Suede Balota 140mm (Bedford Skating Club).
