CHARLOTTE, N.C. -- The Charlotte Bobcats have agreed to a two-year contract with former Los Angeles Lakers point guard Ramon Sessions, said a person familiar with the situation. The person spoke to The Associated Press Thursday on condition of anonymity because the move has not been publically announced. Financial terms of the deal have not been announced. Sessions replaces D.J. Augustin, whose qualifying offer was rescinded earlier Thursday. The move made Augustin, last years starting point guard, an unrestricted free agent. Sessions is entering his sixth season and averaged 12.7 points, 6.2 assists and 3.8 points per game last season for the Lakers with 19 starts. Hes previously played for Milwaukee, Minnesota and Cleveland and has averaged 11.1 points and 5 assists per game during his career. Sessions opted out of his contract with the Lakers to sign with the Bobcats. Its unclear at this point wholl be the teams starting point guard. The Bobcats drafted Kemba Walker with the ninth pick in last years draft and owner Michael Jordan likes the savvy of the former Connecticut star, although hes a little undersized at 6-foot-1. Jordan has a major role in the decision to draft Walker, who played in spurts last season and had one triple-double as a rookie. Augustin leaves after four seasons with the Bobcats. He was Charlottes ninth overall pick in the 2008 draft. By rescinding Augustins qualifying offer, the Bobcats saved about $4.4 million under the salary cap -- money they turned around and used to sign Sessions. Augustin was initially selected by the Bobcats with the ninth overall pick in the 2008 NBA Draft. In four NBA seasons, he played in 282 total games for the Bobcats with averages of 10.9 points, 4.4 assists and 2.0 rebounds but struggled at times with shooting. Last year he played in 48 games, averaging 11.1 points, 6.4 assists and 2.3 rebounds. . TORONTO -- Frustration was setting in for Nazem Kadri with just one goal in seven games. But after catching a break on an early second-period goal, Kadri went on to score another that ended up being the winner as the Toronto Marlies defeated the Milwaukee Admirals 3-2 in American Hockey League action Saturday. "It was a great feeling," said Kadri, the Maple Leafs seventh overall pick in 2009. "The first period I had a few chances and I was getting a little frustrated because they werent going in for. But once I got that one in the second, I felt the world fall off my shoulders." That goal gave the Marlies a 2-0 lead just 45 seconds into the second period. Simon Gysbers point shot bounced off the end boards and back in front to Kadri who snapped a shot high past the glove hand of Engren for his 12th of the season. "The past week and a half Ive been putting up four, five, six shots a game, and ringing a bunch off the post and it just hasnt been going my way," Kadri said. "Any offensive player will tell you the same -- if you get an assist or a goal early in the game you start to feel good about yourself. Youre a lot more composed with the puck and can create a lot more." With his scoring touch back, Kadri scored the winning goal with just 3:06 left in the game, deflecting a pass from Mike Zigomanis on a 2-on-1 break past Admirals goaltender Atte Engren. Toronto (36-21-7) opened the scoring on the power play 13:51 into the first period. A shot from Philippe Dupuis at the side of the goal ricocheted right in front to Hamilton, who whacked the puck past Engren for his team-leading 23rd goal. Milwaukee finally got on the board in the final minute of the second when Dupont stuffed in a rebound past Rynnas during a scrum around the Toronto goal. After Kadris first goal, Milwaukee (31-27-4) tied the game at two 7:43 into the third. Jonathon Blum made a beautiful pass from his own zone up the middle to Wilson, who took it at the Marlies blue-line and made a nice deke around Rynnas poke-check to score his 18th goal. It was the fourth win in a row for Toronto, which strengthened its hold atop the Northeast Division and second in the Western Conference with 79 points.
