The Columbus Blue Jackets have claimed Corey Tropp off waivers from the Buffalo Sabres. The 24-year-old right winger has one assist in nine games this season with the Sabres. In his career, he has three goals and six assists in 43 NHL games. Tropp was drafted in the third round, 89th overall, in the 2007 NHL Entry Draft. He is a native of Grosse Pointe Woods, MI and played three years with Michigan State University before turning pro. The Blue Jackets also placed forward Derek MacKenzie on injured reserve due to a back strain. The move is retroactive to Nov. 22. He has two goals and an assist in 22 games this season. James Carpenter Jersey . -- Ted Lilly would have loved to keep pitching -- if his body would allow him to start every fifth day, and if he could stay off the disabled list. Bilal Powell Jersey . -- Both Alberta rinks and Quebecs mens rink remained unbeaten with victories in Draw 6 on Sunday at the M&M Meat Shops Canadian juniors curling championship. Stevan Ridley Youth Jersey . A routine popup that somehow dropped between Gold Glovers. Devin Smith Womens Jersey . MARIE, Ont.(Sports Network) - The Philadelphia Flyers could have a chance to clinch their first division title in seven years when they visit the Ottawa Senators for tonights clash at Scotiabank Place. The Flyers enter todays action with a three-point lead over Pittsburgh atop the Atlantic Division with three games remaining for both teams. Philadelphia can secure its first division title since 2004 if it beats the Senators and the Penguins are dealt a loss of any kind tonight against visiting New Jersey. The Flyers could also wrap up the division if they get a point tonight and Pittsburgh loses in regulation. Philadelphia is also tied for the Eastern Conference lead with Washington, as both clubs have 103 points and identical 46-22-11 records on the year. The Capitals also have three games left and are playing tonight in Toronto. Ottawa has long since been eliminated from the Easts postseason race, but the Senators have a chance to play spoiler again tonight. The Senators have lost two out of three against the Flyers this year, but were able to record a 4-1 home win over Philly when the clubs met last on Feb. 26. It was Philadelphias sixth consecutive loss in Canadas capital city. All told, Ottawa has taken six of the last nine meetings with the Flyers. The Flyers will try to snap a three-game slide (0-2-1) this evening after losing a shootout decision Sunday against the rival New York Rangers. Erik Christensen and Wojtek Wolski both scored in the shootout, as the playoff- hungry Blueshirts posted a 3-2 win at Philadelphias Wells Fargo Center. James van Riemsdyk and Nikolay Zherdev scored for the Flyers and rookie goaltender Sergei Bobrovsky made 32 saves in the loss. Philadelphia trailed the game by a 2-1 score after 40 minutes, but Zherdev netted the equalizer early in the third period. "Obviously its frustrating playing a good third period and not being able to get that extra point," Giroux said. "Its a good thing there arent shootouts in the playoffs." The Flyers are just 3-7 in shootouts this season. Philadelphia is expected to be without a couple of key forwards tonight, as Danny Briere and Blair Betts are both dealing with lower-body injuries. Briere was a late scratch from Sundays game, while Betts was injured in the second period against the Rangers and did not return. Briere is second on Philadelphia with 32 goals this season and Betts is one of the teams best penalty killers. The Flyers are closing out their road schedule with tonights tilt and Fridays stop in Buffalo. Philly, which is 25-10-4 on the road, will end its regular season on home ice with Saturdays game against the New York Islanders. Ottawa is playing the middle portion of a three-game homestand and will play its final game as the host Thursday against Montreal. The Senators, who will close their season Saturday in Boston, are just 14-20-5 as the home club this season. The Sens began their homestand with Saturdays 4-2 setback to the rival Toronto Maple Leafs. Tyler Bozak and Nikolai Kulemin each had third-period goals to lead the Maple Leafs to victory. Jason Spezza scored the two goals for the Sens, who have dropped three of their last four games and are tied for last in the conference with Florida. Craig Anderson allowed all four goals on 30 shots in the loss. &qquot; We have to keep momentum when we get it and we didnt tonight," Spezza said after his club failed to take advantage of grabbing a 2-1 lead in the third period.dddddddddddd The Senators are playing the rest of the way without a trio of key players. Forward Daniel Alfredsson (lower back) and defensemen Sergei Gonchar (concussion) and Erik Karlsson (lacerated right thigh) are all sidelined for the remainder of the season. Canucks try to rebound against Oilers in Edmonton (Sports Network) - Having already claimed their first ever Presidents Trophy, the Vancouver Canucks have nothing to play for until the playoffs begin next week. That certainly showed in their most recent trip to the ice. The Canucks will try to avoid another setback to the basement-residing Edmonton Oilers this evening at Rexall Place. Vancouver has already set new franchise records for points (113), wins (52) and road wins (26) in a season, leaving it little motivation to get up for Saturdays opener of a home-and-home set with Edmonton, which is last in the NHL with 59 points. It wasnt a huge surprise then when then the Oilers skated to a 4-1 victory behind goals from Jordan Eberle, Linus Omark, Magnus Paajarvi and Kurtis Foster to snap an 11-game losing streak (0-8-3). "It feels good," said Edmonton forward Andrew Cogliano, who had two assists in the surprise victory. "(But) its small consolation for the season were having." Devan Dubnyk made 40 saves and will get the start again tonight as the Oilers look to halt the Canucks franchise-record nine-game road winning streak this evening. Dubnyk improved to 1-1-1 with a 2.33 goals-against average in his career versus Vancouver. Edmonton will now look to snap a four-game slide at home as it tries to win back-to-back games versus Vancouver for the first time since 2007-08. The Canucks had won their first four versus the Oilers this season prior to Saturdays setback and has still won eight of the last 10 meetings overall and three of its last four at Rexall Place. Vancouver had a five-game win streak end with the most recent loss and it was just its second setback in the past 14 games. Alexandre Burrows had the goal and backup Cory Schneider yielded all four goals on 34 shots. "There might be a temptation to do that [write this game off] seeing as how weve clinched the Presidents Trophy in our last game, but that being said, I think you cant underestimate how hard Edmonton played and how well they executed tonight," Canucks head coach Alain Vigneault told his teams website. "They played a real strong game, they were obviously excited and motivated about playing us and they deserved to win." One of the Canucks main goals is to get healthy before the playoffs. Forward Mikael Samuelsson is expected to play tonight for the first time since suffering a thigh injury on March 18, while blueliners Andrew Alberts (broken wrist) and Alexander Edler (back) are both nearing a return. Roberto Luongo is likely to get the start tonight in net for the Canucks as he looks to tune up for the postseason. Luongo leads the NHL with 37 wins and is third with a 2.14 goals-against average and .927 save percentage. The veteran is 18-8-2 with a tie and 2.27 GAA lifetime versus the Oilers. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '
