Big netball win for Echuca
Echuca defeated Mooroopna 60 to 32.
The Murray Bombers got away to a flying start, outscoring their opposition by nine goals in the first quarter to go to the first break with a 17 to eight lead.
The third quarter was Echuca's best, with the team racking up 13 more goals than its opponents for the term, going in to the final break with a 47 to 19 lead.
However, Mooroopna held its own in the final quarter, scoring the same number of goals as the Murray Bombers for the quarter something Echuca coach Gina Pearson was not happy about.
''The start of the last quarter we let them get four goals in a row, so that was disappointing,'' Pearson said.
''We have to be able to push through (to the end of the game).''
Pearson said the win was a team effort.
''Everybody won their positions on the day and the scores show that,'' she said.
She was particularly pleased with her defenders who worked tirelessly throughout the match, while centre court players Holly Long, Greta Pearson and Maddie Wines all worked hard.
''We got a lot through the centre passes,'' Pearson said.
Georgie Eishold also received praise from the coach.
Having played much of the season in centre, the 16 [url=http://www.dolphinsmalls.com/authentic_adam_joseph_duhe_miami_dolphins_jers... Adam Joseph Duhe year old played a good game in goal attack on Saturday, Pearson said.
The coach is now looking to the final two games of the home and away season, where Echuca will take on Euroa and Shepparton United.
''We're playing for pride,'' Pearson said.
Euroa beat the Murray Bombers by five goals in their [url=http://www.dolphinsmalls.com/authentic_ryan_tannehill_miami_dolphins_jersey... Tannehill Jersey last encounter and Pearson is hoping to turn the tables next week.
The final game against Shepparton United will be a tough one for Echuca.
United will be playing to get themselves into position on the ladder for the double chance in the finals.
