Concord Police Seek Identity of TJ Maxx Burglar


The Concord Police are asking for your help to identify this man, who burglarized TJ Maxx on Clayton Road Bailey Road in April.


Police say the suspect appears to be about 5 tall, thin to average build, wearing a red hooded sweatshirt with the hood up over his head, a gray bandana or similar covering over his face just below his eyes, blue jeans, a black belt, white and green (or other dark color) boxers, and black gloves.


Obviously somebody (the employee that closes up) forgot to lock the door when they went home. They didnt say and entering did they? It used to be law that if they could prove that a shoplifter had intent to steal befor entering store ( caught with merchandise from other stores, bags to steal with, or other things that could aid in shoplifting, rather than a crime of impulse or opportunity) That the shoplifter could be charged with burglary ( a much stiffer sentence) rather than shoplifting). Now burglary is the new slap on the wrist. So its all easy pickens for these guys. Time fits the crime? Not anymore.
