Ken Millers tenure with the Saskatchewan Roughriders has come to an end. Miller announced he will step down from his roles as head coach and vice-president of football operations upon completion of the 2011 regular season. "Upon the completion of my duties after the end of the season, I am going to enter retirement," stated Miller. "I thank my wife Maureen for her understanding, friendship and support in my coaching endeavors. Im thankful to Roger Brandvold and our Board of Directors. I especially thank Jim Hopson for his supportive work environment, his cooperation and friendship we have shared." Miller served as the teams head coach for three seasons between 2008 and 2011, leading the team to back-to-back Grey Cup Finals appearances in 2008 and 2009. He stepped down as head coach prior to the 2011 season, handing the job over to Greg Marshall. However, after a 1-7 start to the season, Miller took over as head coach once again on Aug. 19. The team responded well to the change, reeling off three straight wins including back-to-back games against Winnipeg and one against Toronto. However, the team would then lose five straight, including three consecutive games without a touchdown before finally beating Hamilton last Saturday. The team currently sits on a 5-12 record in 2011 with only an away game in Edmonton remaining on the schedule. The Riders have not missed the playoffs since 2001 when the team finished 6-12. The last time the team won less than six games was its 5-12-1 finish in 2000. Miller has a 35-24-1 record as Riders coach. "Its difficult to put into words how much Ken Miller has meant to the Rider organization," stated Riders President/CEO Jim Hopson. "I cant begin to thank Ken for his passion, commitment and contributions to this team and to our province over his time here." Womens Kendall Reyes Jersey . Mike DAntoni decided Wednesday he wasnt that guy. And so, he resigned, surprising even his bosses. "It wasnt just Carmelo," interim general manager Glen Grunwald said. Patrick Robinson Jersey . Four others were arrested in an early morning police sweep. Cremona prosecutor Roberto Di Martino, who has been leading the Last Bet operation for three years, told The Associated Press that Gattuso and retired Milan and Lazio player Cristian Brocchi were allegedly part of a ring that fixed Serie A and other Italian matches at the end of the 2010-11 season. http://www.c... . The organization seems to be extending a small olive branch towards their former captain, as owner Eugene Melnyk confirmed to TSN 1200 this week that the Sens will have a video tribute for Alfredsson. The elevated defensive back Bradley McDougald from the practice squad to fill his roster spot. Kelce had been dealing with what the Chiefs thought was a bruised bone in his knee since training camp. He underwent a series of MRI exams that kept coming back negative, so he opted to have surgery on Tuesday that revealed the damage to his cartilage. "This is an injury people get better from," Chiefs trainer Rick Burkholder said. "Hes a young guy. Hes got a good, healthy knee. We protected him so he didnt do any additional damage. That gives him the best chance to come back and have a good, long career." Kelce, a third-round draft pick out, played sparingly in the preseason and had played in a regular-season game. He had already been ruled out for Sundays game against Oakland. "It kind of got out of control in a couple of preseason games," Kelce said recently. "It just comes from doing a lot of work, a lot of loading on the leg. Ive never dealt with this before, so its all new to me. Its frustrating." Its also frustrating for the Chiefs, who have been banged up at tight end.dddddddddddd Tony Moeaki fractured his shoulder during the preseason and will be unavailable all year, and top tight end Anthony Fasano is still listed as doubtful for the Raiders with a sprained ankle. The Chiefs have had to turn to Sean McGrath, whom they picked up off waivers from Seattle just before the start of the season, and Kevin Brock, who didnt play at all in the NFL last season, just so that they could have two tight ends available for their regular-season games. McGrath has filled in admirably, though. He has 15 catches for 180 yards and a touchdown. "Im going to tell you all like I tell everyone, Im going to prepare the same every single week," McGrath said, "whether Im going to be out there a lot or Im not." In other injury news, free safety Kendrick Lewis is listed as questionable against Oakland with a lingering ankle injury, and Brandon Flowers is also questionable with a knee injury that popped up late in the week. Flowers dealt with an injury to his other knee earlier in the season. Outside linebacker Justin Houston is probable after undergoing evaluations all week for a possible concussion. He was a full participant in practice Friday but will be examined again before the game. cheap jerseys wholesale jerseys ' ' '
