It snowing here in North Carolina. In fact, it been snowing for eight straight hours now, which means the entire city is shut down. The kids are home week, we had sleet, which created nice icy roads. They were out the entire week; now they are saying they might not be back at all this week either. That sound you hear is the little voice in my head SCREAMING.

I love my children. They are fun and awesome and amazing. But two weeks of trying to entertain them is about to drive me batty. I feel that we done EVERYTHING under the sun and I searching for more. Toddlers and preschoolers can work on letters, numbers and shapes. Young elementary kids can work on sight words and simple addition and subtraction. Don have flash cards? Grab some index cards and make your own!

By now, I exhausted and ready for reinforcements. Thankfully that where Netflix and HULU come in. So I going to brew a cup of tea and sit in front of the fire for a bit. Then tomorrow we start all over.

Wow, two weeks off! I thought we were having crazy snow days, with 1 or 2 cancelled days every week for a month straight.

So far, I love the snow days. Because I home with my toddler anyway, childcare is not a worry and it awesome having both kids home. It feels like a holiday, although I definitely need a plan and stick to the routine to keep some order.

Have you tried making snow ice cream? It verrry tasty! (but the online recipes have too much sugar, in my opinion.
