New Balance 420 has quite a bit of history behind it

new balance 373 black is poised to start the new year with a bang thanks to a wealth of new styles set to drop in the first quarter. Keying on their core principles which surround comfort, function and durability, the brand pulls together many of their most popular silhouettes for a month that will feature at least 26 new iterations of silhouettes including the 1400, 996, 1600, 999 and the 600. As expected, strong editions of the 996 anchor the collection, styled with guitar picks. Further, the 1600 employs strong color blocking much like its 1400 counterpart. Take a look after the break and let us know which pairs standout. Expect this massive release at international retailers including End.

In recent months, it's been overshadowed by other classic models from the NB running vaults but the New Balance 420 has quite a bit of history behind it. The story starts with the NB420 winning Runner's World's 1982 shoe of the year and zooms into the future with some early 2009 releases opting for crazy material blends. But this latest trio of new balance 373 womens sticks with a basic suede and nylon mix to make the most of their bold two-toned palettes. Click through for a better look at royal/citrus, red/teal and grey/neon pairs and stick with Sneaker News for word on the US release dates.

An upcoming collaboration with Herschel Supply Co. will give some extra shine to three new pairs, but there's already one fresh New Balance 420 arriving on store shelves for January 2015. Runner's World's pick for 1982's best shoe, the new balance U410 womens is a low profile distance runner set in the suede and nylon composition common to its day. It's all black except for the grey heel, adding white branding fields plus select red and blue hits (presumably additions to a very similar black/white/grey model previewed in December) for a high-contrast look you'll find available now.

Their reflective, metal-infused-nylon and glass-bead-embedded material drops were the final straw for new balance U410 burgundy before they brought on DDC Lab's co-owners as NB Lifestyle Creative directors, but we haven't seen too terribly much of the model upon which these visuals debuted in the past few years. But with a variety of NB classics finally earning some time in the sun, the New Balance 420 is a must, and these new colorways from Canadian raincoat manufacturer K-Way offer a quartet of looks that are just as fresh today as they would have been back when this model won 1982's Runner's World model of the year award. All three are in stock now at select shops like Concepts and you can see them all up-close after the jump.
