MONTREAL -- Quebec boxer Adonis Stevenson will fight yet another different opponent when he enters the ring next month for a shot at the IBF super-middleweight title. Tim Tebow Patriots Jersey Red . Promoter Yvon Michel announced Monday that Donovan George (22-2-1, 19 KOs) will face Stevenson (18-1, 15 KOs), a native of Longueuil, Que. in an elimination bout at the Bell Centre on Aug. 11. The winner of the fight is expected to get a world IBF super middleweight title bout in the future. The title is currently held by Carl Froch, who defeated Montrealer Lucian Bute on May 26 to become champion. Finding an opponent for Stevenson, 34, has been complicated. George is the third opponent set to face Stevenson. Two have withdrawn and many others have simply declined to fight him. Most recently, Stevenson had been set to face off against Andre Dirrell before he dropped out on Monday. George, a 27-year-old native of Chicago, got the call from the International Boxing Federation as his replacement. Michel, president of GYM promotions and Stevensons promoter, said he tried to negotiate with Leonard Ellerbe, Dirrells promoter, but could not come to an agreement after word the fighter from Flint, Mich., would no longer face Stevenson. The IBF then proposed George, who accepted less than 30 minutes after being contacted by the federation. GYM expects to receive a contract signed by George on Tuesday. Several boxers have refused to fight the formidable striker, including Kelly Pavlik and Sakio Bika. In the case of Bika and Dirrell, both boxers agreed to fight Stevenson and then later backed out after negotiations has started. The IBF sanctioned both boxers for their cavalier methods by excluding them from the latest rankings, in which George ranks 11th. Stevenson is currently ranked 2nd. The elimination bout will be on the undercard with a main event for the IBF light heavyweight championship bout pitting Quebecer Jean Pascal against champion Tavoris Cloud. Cloud, 30, who hails from Tallahassee, Fla., is undefeated (24-0, 19 KOs), while Pascal, 29, has a record of 26-2-1, including 16 KOs. Cloud will be making the fifth defence of the then-vacant 175-pound title he won in a 12-round unanimous decision over Clinton Woods in August 2009. Pascal, meanwhile, will get a crack at another world title. He is a former WBC world light heavyweight champion who lost the crown to Bernard Hopkins in May 2011. Tim Tebow Patriots Jersey sale . Free agents cannot sign new contracts until July 11 and because the 7-foot Asik is restricted, the Bulls have three days to decide whether to match Houstons offer or let him go.
