With Wednesday nights win over the Islanders, the Jets are back to a game above .500 on the season at 12-11-4, while getting back to even on the road at 5-5-1. The Jets are now 2-0 on the six game road trip, a trip that continues Friday morning in Philadelphia. After a scoreless first period the Jets scored three times in a span of 5:15. Mark Stuart with his first of the season marked the third straight game the Jets scored first, the goal coming right off a face-off. The goal was identical to the goal Evander Kane scored in New Jersey. James Wright won the face-off on Stuarts goal for his first point of the season. A neutral zone steal followed by a great three way passing play gave the Jets a 2-0 lead. The scoring play was Andrew Ladd from Bryan Little and Blake Wheeler. Little now has 18 points in his last 15 games. Devin Setoguchi made it 3-0, as he deflected a Keaton Ellerby shot. Mark Scheifele extended his point streak to three games with an assist on the goal. Right after that goal the Islanders got a power play and Andrew MacDonald made it a 3-1 game after two periods. With the Islanders on a three game losing streak, a third period push was coming. Al Montoya made a number of big saves, but John Tavares did make it a 3-2 game at 14:01 of the third and 53 seconds later the Isles found themselves on another power play. Montoyas best save came on that man advantage as he robbed Kyle Okposo. Okposo ended the night with six shots on goal. Montoya, a former Islander, ended the night with 30 saves and upping his record to 3-2-1. Jets ended with 29 shots, were 54 per cent on face-offs, and blocked 21 shots. The Jets are now 6-1-1 against Eastern Conference teams. Coach Claude Noel felt the Islanders first goal gave them life. “Would have been nice to end the second 3-0,” he told TSN. “But we managed the game okay. A lot of good efforts. We dont enjoy how we make it close, but that will be our next challenge. You have to recognize that the other team will be pressing. But we are finding ways to win.” Fridays game is an 11:30am et start in Philadelphia (TSN Jets, TSN 1290). Jets are 6-2-2 in their last 10, good for 14 of a possible 20 points. . Third-seeded Murray had the easiest path to victory on New Years Eve, barely breaking a sweat during his 6-0, 6-0 win over 2,129th-ranked Qatari wildcard recipient Mousa Shanan Zayed. With 1:14 to go in overtime, Davis sixth block also became his 17th rebound. That, along with his 32 points -- which tied a career high -- proved too much for Denver to overcome, and the Pelicans held on for their third straight victory, 111-107 on Sunday night. htt... . In Europe, top teams seem to be largely happy with their squads after spending nearly $1 billion in the off-season. And although English league clubs are unlikely to splash cash in January, Arsenal and Chelsea could be tempted to strengthen their squads with new strikers. Gabriel Bourque scored 3:07 into the second period and Austin Watson tallied 5:15 later for Nashville. [url=http://www.gellytefemmepascher.fr/nike-air-force-1-low.html]Nike Air Force 1 Low Pas Cher . A statement from the worlds top-ranked player says all checks "were satisfactory and showed positive evolution" regarding the injury, which contributed to his loss to Stanislas Wawrinka in the final in Melbourne. WASHINGTON -- Buffalo Sabres interim head coach Ted Nolan said Sunday the organization was surprised by prospect Mikhail Grigorenkos decision not to report to a junior club in Canada. "We knew obviously players would be disappointed when something like that happened," Nolan said, "but no indication that he wouldnt report." The Sabres assigned the Russian centre to the Quebec Remparts of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League on Saturday, hoping the 19-year-old former first-round draft pick would get some top-line minutes. Grigorenko has struggled to adapt to the NHL in parts of two seasons, with eight points in 43 career games since he was selected No. 12 overall in 2012. But Grigorenko says he wont go to Quebec. He apologized on Facebook on Saturday, adding: "We just need to find a place for me where I can develop and be the best hockey player I can be." Nolan said he doesnt know what the next step will be for Grigorenko and Sabres team president Patt LaFontaine.dddddddddddd "Its one thing that you learn -- what you can control, what you cant control," Nolan said. "Him and Pat will take care of that." The Sabres would prefer that Grigorenko play for their Rochester AHL affiliate, but an agreement between the NHL and the Canadian Hockey League doesnt allow teenagers to play in the AHL. Buffalo tried to send Grigorenko to Rochester on a conditioning assignment in November, but the NHL denied the request. Grigorenko has played well in previous stints in juniors, posting 139 points in two seasons with Quebec, including 30 goals in 33 games last season. "P.K. Subban played four years in Belleville, and he turned out pretty good," Nolan said of the Montreal Canadiens defenceman. "Junior hockeys a good place to develop." Grigorenko recently returned from the world junior championships in Malmo, Sweden, where he led Russia to the bronze medal with eight points in seven games. cheap jerseys cheap jerseys cheap nfl jerseys Ray Ban Outlet Michael Kors Outlet Michael Kors Sale Cheap Michael Kors ' ' '
