Dwayne Allen: 'Hate' over anthem actions goes too far

INDIANAPOLIS -- Colts tight end Dwayne Allen can handle the criticism he receives from people about not being able to stay healthy.

The facts are clear cut about Allen's inability Youth Aaron Donald Jersey to stay on the field. He's already missed 21 games in his five-year career and will miss even more now that he's on crutches and wearing a boot because of an ankle injury.

What Allen cannot tolerate, though, is receiving hatred and racial comments from people. That was the case when he was shown Sunday on camera, and misreported, according to Allen, on one knee at the end of the national anthem prior to the start of the game against the Houston Texans.

In the first three games of the http://www.authenticfootballs.com/aaron-donald-jersey-c-1_1372_1385.html season, the Ravens went 3-0 with the same starting lineup: Stanley at left tackle, Alex Lewis at left guard, Jeremy Zuttah at center, Yanda at right guard and Rick Wagner at right tackle. Flacco was pressured 30 times, 10th most in the NFL.

In the last three games, Baltimore was 0-3 with three different offensive-line combinations with four starters (Stanley, Yanda, Lewis and Wagner) all missing time. Flacco was pressured an NFL-high 52 times during this stretch.

Defenses obviously recognized the offensive line as the weak point. In those three games, Flacco was blitzed 46 times -- the second-most in the NFL. That's 20 more blitzes than what Flacco faced in the first three weeks.

Flacco is hopeful he'll play against a Jets defense that ranks 28th against the pass.

"It is just a matter of how I'm going to feel," Flacco said. "I think [taking practice off] today and just staying in there and doing some rehab and trying to get warmed up a little bit was probably the best thing."

The good news for Flacco is that Stanley and Wagner could return to the starting lineup. That should help with the extra pressure coming off the edges.

If the Ravens learned anything from this latest injury, it's they must do a better job at protecting their franchise quarterback.
