TAMPA, Fla. -- Those hoping to see Tampa Bay Buccaneers running back Doug Martin return to action following the bye week will have to wait even longer. The two-time Pro Bowler was not practicing with the team Wednesday and suffered what head coach Dirk Koetter referred to as a "setback."

"Doug did unfortunately suffer a little setback a week ago Sunday," Koetter said. "We'll just have to see when he can make it back. There's no timetable on that right now ... but Doug did suffer a little setback."

Martin suffered a hamstring injury in Week 2 against the Arizona Cardinals. The original time estimate on the injury was three weeks. The team was hopeful he might be able to return following the bye week.

The conservative plan is too bad for the Steelers, who must face the Patriots in back-to-back years with a depleted offense. Especially in light of last season's headset issues in Gillette Stadium that rankled Steelers coaches. Last year, Big Ben played without Le'Veon Bell and Martavis Bryant.

This year, the Steelers are forced to protect a defense that's without Cam Heyward and possibly Ryan Shazier.

In last week's ugly 30-15 loss to Miami, the Dolphins kept the ball for nearly 37 minutes, resulting in 222 rushing yards against a usually good rushing defense.

Though the Steelers are known to rebound from poor games, the same defense that couldn't stop Ryan Tannehill is asked to stop Brady and tight end Rob Gronkowski.

Tomlin's quotes about the Miami performance highlights what the Steelers need to correct.
