Familiar foes are squaring off again in one of the best MLS postseason rivalries.Real Salt Lake and the Los Angeles Galaxy will face each other for the fifth time in eight seasons in the playoffs on Wednesday night in Salt Lake City.The first of these meetings resulted in RSL winning the MLS Cup in 2009 after prevailing in a shootout with the Galaxy. Rematches between the two clubs occurred in 2011, 2013 and 2014 with Los Angeles prevailing in 2011 and 2014.Salt Lake has reached the MLS Cup playoffs in eight of the past nine seasons, but enters the postseason with zero momentum. RSL went winless over its final seven regular-season matches, earning just three points. The club slid all the way from second place in the Western Conference down to sixth over those two months.Los Angeles also stumbled a bit ahead of the postseason. The Galaxy won just once in their final five regular-season matches to finish third in the Western Conference behind FC Dallas and the Colorado Rapids.One thing thats guaranteed is that both teams will make this elimination match entertaining.
