Frisco, TX (Sports Network) - Two last place clubs will meet at FC Dallas Stadium on Wednesday as Toronto FC will look to climb out of the Eastern Conference cellar with a victory over FC Dallas, which sits last in the Western Conference. Authentic Russell Wilson Jersey . Toronto is in the midst of a four-game unbeaten run, and three points on Wednesday would see the club climb out of last place in the East at the expense of the Philadelphia Union. Watch Toronto FC vs. FC Dallas live on TSN and TSN Mobile TV tonight starting at 9pm et/6pm pt. The Canadian club is coming off of a 1-1 draw with Red Bull New York at BMO Field at the weekend. Toronto conceded an early goal to Jan Gunnar Solli, but the home side responded immediately as Danny Koevermans netted the equalizer to earn a point for TFC and garner MLS Player of the Week honors. While Koevermans stole the headlines with a timely goal, head coach Paul Mariner believes that defender Logan Emory was one of the stars of the show. Emory made a game-saving tackle in the 76th minute to preserve the draw, making a sliding challenge to block Joel Lindperes shot after the Estonian got through on goal. "Logan Emory, for me, is a bit of an unsung hero," said Mariner. "Hes one of those guys who go underneath the radar. He sort of very, very quietly goes about his business extremely well." Toronto heads into FC Dallas Stadium with a less-than-stellar record against Western Conference opponents this season, going 0-4-0 and conceding 10 goals. But Dallas may not provide a stern test to the Reds as the Frisco club is riding an 11-game winless run. FC Dallas has not won a league match since April 14. "For whatever reason, we havent found ways to win," said midfielder Daniel Hernandez. "Hopefully, with some of the guys starting to come back in the next week or two starting off with Toronto, it will be a good test for us." Despite the lengthy barren spell, Hernandez revealed that the collective attitude within the team remains positive. "Nothings really changed with us," Hernandez told MLSsoccer.com. "I think one of the things weve been able [to do is] stay positive throughout the season even as tough as its been. Weve stayed positive and continued to train hard. Guys havent taken off or backed off at training." That type of resolve will be paramount if Dallas hopes to pick up three points on Wednesday. Seahawks Wilson Jersey . The Chelsea left back apologized in person to FA chairman David Bernstein on Monday for reacting angrily after a commission set up by the governing body questioned the evidence Cole gave in defending John Terry in a racism case. In a motion filed Wednesday, Vilma drops his case against the NFLs disciplinary process, now that his suspension has been lifted. However, he continues to pursue damages from Goodell for harm he alleges was done to his reputation by the NFLs bounty probe of the New Orleans Saints. Although his times were not released, it is likely that the disqualification allowed Cochrane, of Victoria, to qualify for his first 400m freestyle Olympic final. Wilson Elite Jersey . Soria, a two-time All-Star with Kansas City, is recovering from elbow ligament-replacement surgery on April 3. The 28-year-old right-hander also had the ligament replaced in 2003. His agreement was revealed Monday by a person familiar with the negotiations who spoke on condition of anonymity because it had not been announced.(Sports Network) - The St. Louis Cardinals are nearing a playoff spot and will try to move closer to that goal Monday in the opener of a three-game series versus the Cincinnati Reds at Busch Stadium. The Cardinals magic number to seal up the final wild card spot in the National League is down to two and the club has won six of the last eight games. St. Louis won two of three matchups with Washington over the weekend and recorded a 10-4 triumph in Sundays series finale even though winning pitcher Lance Lynn gave up four runs in 5 1/3 innings. Lynn improved to 18-7 on the season and struck out nine batters. Carlos Beltran homered twice and finished with five RBI for St. Louis, which is two games ahead of Los Angeles for the last postseason spot. "Theres a lot of teams that would love to be in the position that we are in," Beltran said. "You know, competing for a chance to get in the playoffs. Were playing really good as a team right now." Beltran is three RBI away from his first 100-RBI season since 2008. Jaime Garcia gets the start for the Cardinals this evening and is 6-7 with a 3.99 earned run average through 19 starts. Garcia has won two starts in a row and is 3-1 over his last four decisions, and defeated Houston the previous time out in a 4-0 win last Tuesday. Garcia delivered seven scoreless innings and scattered six hits. He has faced Cincinnati 12 times in his career (10 starts), going 7-2 with a 3.39 ERA. Meanwhile, the NL Central-champion Reds are tied with Washington for the best record in baseball and are coming off a series triumph at Pittsburgh. In Sundays 4-3 victory at PNC Park, Zack Cozart hit a go-ahead RBI double with two out as part of a two-run ninth inning, while Sean Marshall hurled a 1-2-3 eighth to pick up the win. Aroldis Chapman struck out two during a scoreless ninth and tallied his 37th save of the season. Gunning for the clubs first 20-game winner since Danny Jackson in 1988, Johnny Cueto surrendered three runs -- one earned -- on six hits in seven innings for the no-decision. "I really, really want to give Johnny every opportunity to get 20 wins, but it was just one of those things that didnt work out," Reds interim manager Chris Speier said. Reds manager Dusty Baker is expected to be back in the dugout tonight and has been recovering from an irregular heartbeat and mini stroke. Bronson Arroyo will start for the Reds tonight and he is 12-9 with a 3.70 earned run average in 31 starts. He is 0-2 in his past three outings and was beaten by Milwaukee in last Wednesdays 8-1 loss in which he allowed four runs in six innings. Arroyo, a right-hander and Key West native, has faced St. Louis 32 times (30 starts) in his career and is 8-12 with a 4.54 ERA. The Reds and Cardinals have split 12 meetings this season, but Cincinnati has won five of the last seven encounters. Dodgers start do-or-die set with Giants (Sports Network) - The Los Angeles Dodgers are one victory shy of matching their longest winning streak of the year. Russell Wilson Elite Jersey. If they hope to make the playoffs, theyll need to set a new season high and get some help. The Dodgers begin a do-or-die three-game series on Monday night with the San Francisco Giants still on the outside of the wild card picture. Despite a victory in five straight games -- their longest string of victories since another five-game run from July 18-23 -- the Dodgers sit two games behind the St. Louis Cardinals for the second wild card in the NL with three to play. While Los Angeles hosts NL West-champion San Francisco, St. Louis is taking on the Cincinnati Reds, who have already won the NL Central. Los Angeles got two-run homers from Matt Kemp, Luis Cruz and A.J. Ellis in Sundays 7-1 win over the Colorado Rockies and have outscored its opponents 34-7 over the five-game win streak. The Dodgers have won a season-high six games in a row twice this year, last doing so on May 17-22. "We painted ourselves into this corner," said Dodgers manager Don Mattingly. "If we do what we have to do, St. Louis will have to win two games. Were forcing them to win games." Mattingly turns to veteran Aaron Harang, who won for the first time in six starts on Wednesday at the San Diego Padres. He scattered four hits and four walks over 5 1/3 scoreless innings, striking out three in his first victory since Aug. 18. The 34-year-old righty is 10-10 with a 3.68 earned run average in 30 starts this season and will face the Giants for the first time in 2012. He is 7-7 against them in 17 career starts with a 3.22 ERA. Things wont be easy for the Dodgers tonight as they square off with the Giants Matt Cain, who is likely to start Game 1 of the National League Division Series and gets one final tuneup tonight. Cain has won three straight starts, giving up just two runs in that span, and is 6-0 with a 2.18 ERA over his last nine outings. He logged seven shutout innings in a win over the Arizona Diamondbacks on Wednesday, working around four hits and a walk with six strikeouts. The right-hander, who will pitch on his 28th birthday, is 16-5 this season with a 2.77 ERA. He has made three starts in 2012 versus the Dodgers, going 1-0 with a 2.53 ERA. That has made Cains career numbers in this series a bit more respectable as he sits 4-8 lifetime against the Dodgers with a 3.40 ERA. The Giants have won four of their last five and rallied for a 7-5 win over the San Diego Padres on Sunday. Down by a run in the ninth, Xavier Nady hit a pinch-hit solo homer to even things up and Hunter Pence added a go-ahead two-run n the frame. "I liked the way the guys kept homer igetting after it, especially after it was ugly there early," Giants manager Bruce Bochy said. San Francisco has won five of its last six versus Los Angeles and lead the season series 9-6. ' ' '
