WHITBY, Ont. -- Rob Hellyer made sure the Orangeville Northmen kept their undefeated Minto Cup record intact Sunday, scoring the overtime winner in a come-from-behind 8-7 win over the Whitby Warriors. The Northmen (2-0) led 7-5 after two periods, but the Warriors (1-1) found goals from Reilly OConnor and Zack Palmer to extend the game. Hellyer scored the winner 10 minutes into the extra frame. Jeremy Noble and Mitchell Jones both had four points for the Northmen while Palmer led the Warriors with four points. The Northmen, coming off a 9-5 win over the Coquitlam Adanacs on Saturday, sit atop the group, while the Warriors, 11-3 winner over the Calgary Mountaineers on Saturday, are tied for second.
