TORONTO -- The top-seeded UBC Thunderbirds capped off an undefeated season with a 3-0 win over No. 2 hosts the Toronto Varsity Blues in the final of the FHC-CIS womens field hockey championship on Sunday. "I couldnt have had those chances without the team setting me up so it was really a total team effort," said McManus. "We knew it was going to be a battle against Toronto and that we would have to fight really hard." Hannah Haughn, the CIS rookie of the year, earned championship-MVP status. The midfielder from West Vancouver, B.C., was ecstatic with her teams performance. "Getting MVP is just the cherry on top," said Haughn. "I think our team really deserved it from how we played all year long."
