The Saint Mary's Huskies notched their fourth straight win with a 71 64 decision over the St. Francis Xavier X Women in AUS women's basketball play on Saturday.
At Antigonish, the Huskies outscored the X Women by 14 points at the foul line to secure their margin of victory.
Justine Colley had a game high 26 points to spark the victory. Rachelle Coward added 16 and Emily Jameson 13 for the Huskies. Lia St. Pierre had 18, Lindsay Lessard 12 and Vanessa PIckard 11 to pace the X Women.
Dalhousie 65, Acadia 49: At Dalplex, Courtney Thompson had 20 points and Ainsley MacIntyre 14 caroms to lead the Tigers past the Axewomen. Abbey Duinker led the visitors with 15 points.
UNB 72, UPEI 66 (OT) Rachael Cleary had 20 points as the Varsity Reds outscored the Panthers 12 6 in overtime to pull out the win. Amy Gough led the Panthers with 19.
Cape Breton 80, Memorial Authentic Von Miller Jersey 65: Tanira McClurkin meshed four three pointers and finished with 23 points to lead the Capers to victory.
St. 75, Saint Mary's 67: At Antigonish, Jordan Clarke scored 20 points, including 12 of 12 from the charity, to lead the X Men past the Huskies. William Donkok added 15 points for the winners while Rodrigo Madera scored 14 points and grabbed 16 rebounds. Riley Halpin and Terrence Taylor each had 12 points to lead the Huskies.
Dalhousie 84, Acadia 65: The one two punch of Devon Stedman and Simon Marr, with 20 and 18 points, respectively, helped the Tigers earn their first win of the campaign.
