MUSICIANS SOUGHT
Bands, musicians sought
YOUNGSTOWN Youngstown State University is seeking performers for the annual Summer Festival of the Arts to take place on campus July 7 and 8.
Bands and musicians can apply for one of the eight available performance slots on the Open Stage located at the DeBartolo Hall outdoor courtyard. One 45 minute performance will be allotted, and musicians will be permitted to sell their CDs. Music must be suitable for an outdoor event where children and families will be close by, although the music need not be geared toward those audiences. Interested performers are asked to complete and submit an application, photograph with biography and a CD of works to be performed. The music starts at 8.
Antognoli writes roots oriented music, and has performed in New York and Philadelphia. He has also appeared regularly with the River Saints in of the era.
Tickets are $30 per couple or $15 per person. Call the box office at (330) 259 0555. Tuesdays through Fridays in the Adler Art Academy, 258 Federal Plaza West, downtown.
Advanced painting students will exhibit work from the past year that reflects their ongoing research. Students also will show the pieces from a project called White [url=http://www.officialauthenticbills.com/authentic-sammy-watkins-jersey.html]o... for which they used only white pigments.
Dragana Crnjak, assistant professor of painting, organized the show. Participating YSU student artists are Jennifer Townsend, Elizabeth Sait, Adam Sullivan, Amanda Thompson, Heesun Sung, Brian Wilson, Amy Kreiger, David Mauerman, John Petruzzi, Troy Goldberg, Alexander Meranto and Karen Fisher.

YOUNGSTOWN Stambaugh Auditorium continues its series of dances May 19 with an evening of dancing to the big band sounds of the Don Burns Orchestra. Music will include arrangements by Glenn Miller, Tommy Dorsey, Benny Goodman, Harry James and others of the era.
