The NFL is more topsy turvy this year than in any in recent memory. As midseason approaches, this NFL season does have one thing in common with last year, in that a team is still undefeated. But last year, that undefeated team was the juggernaut Patriots, while this year's unbeaten team is the unheralded Tennessee Titans. An impressive Monday Night comeback win over the Colts may have proven to more people that the Titans are for real, however. As such, the Titans are now on top in the pundits NFL power rankings. But if the Titans are not number one in the power rankings of pundits, then the Giants probably are. The Giants had the other big statement win in Week 8, coming back to defeat the Steelers on the road.
With the slumping of the Dallas Cowboys and the slow start of the Green Bay Packers, the defending champion Giants are now the top ranked NFC team in many NFL power rankings.
The power rankings also have surprise teams like the Redskins, Panthers and Bills high on top. Power rankings now have to have a lower ranking for the Colts, who are in serious danger at 3 4 as their window of opportunity keeps closing.
With Tony Dungy ready to leave soon and Peyton Manning only getting older, the Colts may be closer to the end of their era than the beginning.
The Patriots are used to being on top of power rankings, but that is not the case this year. However, the Patriots are still 5 2 and are back on top of the AFC East. With a now more winnable game against the Colts on Sunday night, the Patriots could be [url=http://www.officialauthenticvikings.com/authentic-scott-crichton-jersey.htm... Crichton Womens Jersey reestablished as legitimate contenders again, if not the favorites.
At the bottom of NFL power rankings, fans and pundits can agree that the winless Lions and Bengals are way down at the bottom. There may be debate at the top, but not about who the worst teams are.
At the midseason point of the NFL year, these are my own contributions to the speculation of NFL power rankings.
1. Tennessee Titans: 7 0
2. New York Giants: 6 1
3. Washington Redskins: 6 2
4. Pittsburgh Steelers: 5 2
5. New England Patriots: 5 2
6. Carolina Panthers: [url=http://www.officialauthenticvikings.com/authentic-jerick-mckinnon-jersey.ht... McKinnon Womens Jersey 6 2
7. Buffalo [url=http://www.officialauthenticvikings.com/authentic-anthony-barr-jersey.html]... Bills: 5 2
8. Dallas Cowboys: 5 3
9. Tampa Bay Buccaneers: 5 3
10. Denver Broncos: 4 3
11. Green Bay Packers: 4 3
12. They do not evolve to fit a particular situation, they do not have "their game." They morph to fit the given situation, to attack their opponents' strengths. New Yor.
