PARIS -- Canada will learn its draw Wednesday for the 2014 Womens Rugby World Cup. Xavi Hernandez Spain Jersey . The tournament is set for Aug. 1-17 next year in France. The draw is taking place at Hotel de Ville -- Paris City Hall -- with International Rugby Board chairman Bernard Lapasset looking on. The teams have been divided into three pots for the purpose of the draw: 1) New Zealand, England, Australia. 2) Canada, U.S., France. Ireland, Wales, Spain. 4) Kazakhstan, Samoa, South Africa. Kazakhstan and South Africa were the last teams to qualify, earning the right to represent Asia and Africa in September. South Africa thumped Uganda 63-3 while Kazakhstan held on to edge Japan 25-23. Canada finished a disappointing sixth at the 2010 World Cup in England, losing 23-20 to the U.S. in the fifth-place playoff. The Canadians went 2-1 in pool play, beating Scotland and Sweden before losing to France. Canada beat Scotland again to advance to the fifth-place game. New Zealand won the tournament, beating England 13-10 in the final. The Black Ferns went 5-0, outscoring their opposition 188-33. Under coach Francois Ratier, the Canadian women have done well recently. Canada defeated England 27-13 in Colorado in August to win the Nations Cup. Next up for the Canadian women is a European tour, their first fall trip since 2009. They play France on Saturday in Pontarlier and Nov. 5 in Amneville before playing England on Nov. 13 at the Twickenham Stoop, site of the 2010 World Cup final. Its been a rough season for the English women, who lost their Six Nations title, were beaten three times in their series in New Zealand and were beaten twice by Canada at Nations Cup. Canadas preparation for the World Cup also includes a May-June tour of New Zealand to face the Black Ferns and Australias Wallaroos. Defending champions New Zealand, 2010 runners-up England, Australia, hosts France, USA, and Canada qualified automatically for the 2104 tournament from the last World Cup. 2013 Grand-Slam winner Ireland and Wales qualified via their performance at the 2012 and 2013 Six Nations. Spain and Samoa earned their ticket at a qualifying event in Madrid in April. --- Canadian Roster Elissa Alarie, Ste-Anne-de-Bellevue Rugby Club, Trois-Rivieres, Que.; Brittany Benn, Guelph Redcoats, Napanee, Ont.; Stephanie Bernier, Club de Rugby Quebec, Quebec City; Tyson Beukeboom, Aurora Barbarians, Uxbridge, Ont.; Latoya Blackwood, St. Anne de Bellevue, Montreal; Andrea Burk, Capilano RFC, North Vancouver; Sammy Crandell, Hornets RFC, Calgary; Olivia DeMerchant, Woodstock Wildmen, Mapledale, N.B.; Kim Donaldson, Burnaby Lake Rugby Club, Toronto; Jessica Dovanne, Velox RFC; Victoria; Bianca Farella, Town of Mount Royal RFC; Montreal; Megan Gibbs, Markham Irish RFC, Barrie, Ont.; Magali Harvey, Club de Rugby Quebec, Quebec City; Mary Jane Kirby, Highland RFC, Brampton, Ont.; Ghislaine Landry, Toronto Scottish RFC, Toronto; Hilary Leith, Saracens/Capilano RFC, Vancouver; Kayla Mack, Wild Oats RFC, Saskatoon; Kayla Moleschi, Williams Lake Rustlers, Williams Lake, B.C.; Jacey Murphy, Aurora Barbarians, Alliston, Ont.; Karen Paquin, Club de Rugby Quebec, Quebec City; Marie-Pier Pinault-Ried, Club de Rugby Quebec, Quebec City; Kelly Russell (capt), Toronto Nomads, Bolton, Ont.; Laura Russell, Toronto Nomads, Bolton, Ont.; Maria Samson, Calgary Hornets, Calgary; Amanda Thornborough, Brandon Barbarians RFC, Brandon, Man; Jackie Titley, Montreal; Brittany Waters, Meraloma Athletic Club, Vancouver. ED Belfour Blackhawks Jersey . Manager Davey Johnson said left fielder Bryce Harper would not be suspended or fined by Major League Baseball for being ejected in Sundays 6-2 win at Pittsburgh.NYON, Switzerland -- A Barcelona-Real Madrid "Clasico," a Jose Mourinho reunion with Chelsea or a rematch of the first final 20 seasons ago between AC Milan and Marseille are among the tantalizing possibilities in Fridays draw for the Champions League quarterfinals. The unseeded draw, bringing together eight teams from seven different countries, features six former European champions --including Milan, Bayern Munich, Benfica and Marseille -- plus former finalist Chelsea and Cypriot underdog APOEL. Barcelona and Madrid, and their prolific goalscorers Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, will be the opponents to avoid, and even UEFA President Michel Platini has said that the Spanish powers would make for "a great final." Barcelona won its fourth European title last season after ousting Madrid in a volatile semifinal that saw Madrid coach Mourinho banished to the stands and suspended from the touchline for the return match. Still, nine-time European champion Madrid has improved in its second season under the Portuguese coach, who could become the first coach to lead three different clubs to win world footballs most prestigious club competition. Mourinho won with FC Porto in 2004 and Inter Milan in 2010, but could not give Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich the European title he craves during three years in London. Under Mourinho, Inter beat Chelsea in the last 16 two years ago, and his route to the trophy could again go through west London after veterans Didier Drogba, John Terry and Frank Lampard inspired a thrilling extra-time victory over Napoli on Wednesday. "People cant understand how much I love Chelsea and I know if I get them in the quarterfinals or the semifinals, they would be great opponents," Mourinho said Wednesday after Madrid completed a 5-2 aggregate win over CSKA Moscow. "Id love to play them in the final." Chelseas win ensured that England extended its run as the only country to bee represented in the quarterfinals each year since the competition was opened to non-champions in 1997. Zoi... Almonte Yankees Jersey. . The first leg matches will be played March 27-28, with the return matches on April 3-4. UEFA will also draw the semifinal pairings Friday to plot teams path to the final on May 19 in Munich. Bayern is aiming to be the first team playing for the title with home-field advantage since AS Roma lost the 1984 European Cup in the Olympic Stadium against Liverpool. Only Madrid (1957) and Inter (1965) became European champions in their own stadium. Though this seasons Champions League has been relatively unpredictable, the quarterfinal lineup has restored the balance of power. Six teams have combined to win 27 titles in the competitions 56 years, while Chelsea came close to winning the 2008 final in a penalty shootout against Manchester United. Barcelona could become the first club to successfully defend the trophy in the 20 years since the old European Cup was rebranded. Marseille was the first Champions League winner, beating Milan 1-0 in a 1993 final also played in Munich at the Olympic Stadium. The French club has now reached the quarterfinals for the first time since. Fridays draw could also reunite the 1994 finalists, when Milan outclassed a favoured Barcelona team 4-0 in Athens. APOEL offers the Cinderella storyline as the first Cypriot club to reach this stage, and on a C10 million ($13 million) annual budget which is less than Mourinhos salary. The Nicosia club has advanced despite scoring as many goals in eight games -- seven -- as Barcelona and Bayern managed in their last game alone. APOEL has even been outscored by Messi, whose competition-leading 12 goals includes five in a 7-1 win over Bayer Leverkusen last week, and Bayerns Mario Gomez, who got four in a 7-0 thrashing of FC Basel on Tuesday to take his tally to 10. The Europa League quarterfinal and semifinal draws will also be conducted. ' ' '
