Mosley one of the Alabama alumni getting filled with football at NFL OTAs

But even playing for the K.J. Wright Jersey Crimson Tide can't get players completely prepared for the NFL, it appears. Mosley (Theodore). "You're here at 6 in the morning. Back in college, I was just getting ready for class at 8 or doing a workout or something. But now, it's all football from 6 to 6."

While that might be a big adjustment, picking up ht... the Baltimore Ravens' defense hasn't been, Mosley said. The Ravens selected Mosley with the 17th choice in the NFL Draft last month.

"We played a complex defense under coach Saban," Mosley said. "A lot of things we did at Alabama, they do here with the Baltimore Ravens. I haven't been through the whole defense yet. But when I get through it, get through the preseason, earn my stripes as far as a rookie player and do what I need to do on special teams, I'll be ready to play."

Mosley is expected to start at weakside linebacker as a rookie for the Ravens. But during OTAs last week, he did his drills with the [url=http://www.footballseahawksprostore.com/Nike-Jon-Ryan-Jersey.html]Jon Ryan Womens Jersey
second team defense while second year player Arthur Brown ran with the first team.

Baltimore returns to OTAs on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Running back Trent Richardson isn't switching to quarterback for the Indianapolis Colts, but he was wearing a handle with care red jersey like a QB during the Colts' one open OTA last week. It's just a precaution after he had shoulder surgery earlier this year, Richardson said.

"I'm feeling pretty good," Richardson said. "It's just up to the coach on whenever I should take the jersey off." www.fo... Cleveland Browns selected Richardson with the third pick in the 2012 draft. But the [url=http://www.footballseahawksprostore.com/Nike-Jon-Ryan-Jersey.html]Jon Ryan Navy Jersey Browns traded him to the Colts after two games of the 2013 season. Richardson lost the starting spot in Indianapolis to Donald Brown, but he's running with the first team at OTAs. However, Brown is now with the San Diego Chargers, and Vick Ballard and Ahmad Bradshaw, Richardson's primary competition for the starting spot, were not at OTAs last week.

Among the former Alabama players in the NFL who did not participate in team OTAs last week were Baltimore Ravens nose tackle Terrence Cody, Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones (Foley) and Houston Texans defensive end Jeoffrey Pagan.

This isn't a problem for Jones, who is recovering from a foot fracture that caused him to miss 11 games last season. But Cody and Pagan are less secure in their positions.

Cody is a four year veteran who continues to be hampered by hip problems. Cody had hip surgery last offseason, but said he felt healthy when he stayed with the Ravens on a one year contract for $730,000 in March. Since then, Cody has undergone another hip surgery.

"He's got a chance to be back for training camp," Baltimore coach John Harbaugh said. "He's rehabbing every day, doing a good job with that."

The Texans drafted Pagan in the sixth round last month. He's been out while recovering from offseason shoulder surgery.

College teams that use top players on special teams are among Darrin Simmons' favorite things. Simmons is the special teams coach for the Cincinnati Bengals. NFL caliber players with special teams experience make his job easier.

Simmons is trying to make player evaluations and teach special teams play during Cincinnati's OTAs, which continue this week. He used cornerback Dre Kirkpatrick (Gadsden City) as an example of special teams ready players.
